Supadu is pleased to announce the new website launch of RIT Press, the not-for-profit scholarly book publishing enterprise at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), using its’ Supafolio Wordpress theme.
RIT Press uses Supadu’s metadata platform, Supafolio, which dynamically delivers metadata to websites and marketing pages, updating them incrementally.
The website improves user experience and engagement through features including a new powerful website search; enriched product details pages; a shopping cart; and an exciting programme of upcoming events.
Since its establishment in 2001 as RIT Cary Graphic Arts Press, RIT Press has been dedicated to the use of cutting-edge publishing technology as well as content quality, publication design, and print/digital production standards.
Initially focused on publishing titles documenting graphic communication processes, printing history, and bookmaking, the Press has evolved to encompass a comprehensive range of academic disciplines offered at RIT, including business, philosophy, fine arts, history, graphic arts, comics studies, deaf studies, and liberal arts.
The new website introduces a modern and intuitive design, enabling users to seamlessly navigate through an extensive collection of specialised titles, catering to niche academic audiences, as well as trade editions for mass-market readers.
Visitors to the site will appreciate the improved search functionality, making it easier than ever to find specific books, across all subjects and series. RIT Press showcases their latest releases, including the highly anticipated Herbert Bayer’s World Geo-Graphic Atlas by Benjamin Benus, which debuted earlier this summer, as well as the relaunch of the esteemed Rochester History journal.
The website focus is on more content, compelling articles, reviews and regular events fostering community development and engagement.
